flakes off only at the borders of the sample,
whitish glass corrosion crystals underneath
the coating do not affect the coating system    

transmitting light: same detail as left, remnants of
glass corrosion products (dark structures) underneath
the coating, no micro fissures in the coating

areas with a thick Paraloid® top coating (upper
border of the sample) appear more transparent than
parts of thin Paraloid® application (milky appearance)
