Objects:

Ormocer®
is an inorganic-organic hybrid polymer, a heteropolysiloxane (synthesised by a hydrolysis and condensation process), mixed with an acrylate (Paraloid® B 72).
The Ormocer® protective system (on the external side) composed of base lacquer. Protective lacquer with glass flakes and covered lacquer were used in Cologne Cathedral. Modified Ormocer® was used in Klausen and Canterbury to secure paint layers.
SZA
is an inorganic material based on silicon-zirconium-alkoxide, which was developed for the stabilization of damaged paint. SZA was used only for pilot studies on various objects.
Both materials are developed by ISC-Fraunhofer Institute, Würzburg, D.
